another year flew by..... and its my birthday today.

Thanks Mom.

Today took me a while to post... since there were more items than usual. This morning I woke up and felt a little off... couldnt figure out why.... but was dreading trying to work and keep up with McCoy at the same time. I called my Mom and she so graciously came over and took McCoy on a nature walk. They came back with leaves, and feathers and stuff and lots of stories.. of the cat they pet,,, the store they went into and the things they saw along the way. It was perfect... by the time they got home... I was done working and ready to make McCOy some lunch and spend some time with her before her nap.. Now shes asleep and my work is done for today...? so wow... ahead of the day today.... thanks MOM!!!

and now I will eat my late lunch and relax before i get back to some cutting and bundling... and only hours until the hub comes home...i love it when he walks through the door.

Change is a coming.

With the house on the market..... I sense big changes coming. A very small part of me is sad to leave this cute little bungalow .... its def a charmer..... However... a greater part of me is excited and looking forward to having some more space for my work room and a nursery for the baby... it might mean giving up some of the historic charm in an old house... but im okay with that.. i think.
Either way.... new and exciting ventures ahead.

Good news !!!

I really needed some Good news today and it came in a package.... :) Customer and friend teena from sunny Ca... sent me wasabi... three different kinds all from japan... the real stuff... no dyes... no artificial anything.
I am overjoyed and so appreciative that you guys really read my rant like blogs and care to know about little me on my pregnancy journey.
I cant wait to whip up some yummy stuff with my new wasabi...

Kona..... almost 16.

Very sad news.... My husbands dalmation that he has had for almost 16 years... is not doing so well. Today alone... I had to carry her in an out to go the bathroom and to her dog bowl... sometimes she stands strong and other time collapses... she has paralysis in her back legs. The vet also says she has a pretty bad heart murmur which could also lead to heart failure..
I have been praying that when she passes it will be in her sleep from her heart... because I know it will be the toughest thing to put her down even if she becomes completely paralyzed and in pain...because how can you do that when your dog is coherent? (sigh).... that is tough. Last night we noticed it looks like she has pus or sores on her back end... Maybe from sleeping all day in the same position? Kinda like people get bed sores? I dont know... very sad.
I know she has lived a long great life... just super sad for Donnie as he had trouble sleeping last night worrying about it and Kona is his Rocky.... and those of you who know, Rocky he passed last year.

Lord give us peace & wisdom in this situation... it is so tough.

Happy Birthday Donnie..

My husband turned 37 ... and we celebrated by going to the waterpark & sushi.. Even though I couldnt have any raw fish... I still ordered massive rolls and went to town on the wasabi.... Yum.... sushi is perfection. Sunday.... we just lolli gagged at the park on a morning train ride and headed to austin... for some lunch over looking beautiful lake travis.... a good weekend for sure.

Its not that easy to get 80 grams.....

I had no idea that a pregnant woman needs to have 80 or more grams of protien a day... comprable to a weight lifter.
this has really blown my mind... and changed my whole diet... grrr. I am realizing that in order to get all the protein I need.. i need to eat some sort of protein in every meal.... not an easy task for someone who dosent eat much meat... or drink milk...
I have to be very purposeful... to get it.

Almonds
almond Butter
beans
protein bars
protein powder
cheese


Cottage Cheese has been a huge help.... as just one cup packs a lot of protein..
Why am I sharing this? well just the way new moms talk about baby poop and stuff... Im pregnant and this is my world right now... making sure I get all that I need for the baby.

ohhh... and bean burritos are a yummy way to get it... ive been eating lots of those... Amys burritos have 10g per burrito. not too shabby.

Oh yum....

My friend Robin is so awesome... she went to whole foods today and brought me some organic Wasabi and Buffalo sauce.

Oh No I Didnt!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh.... Im 100% embarassed to share this news with you... but I know it will probably put a few silly grins on some of your faces so I am sharing. I was grossly craving a Taco Bell Mexican Pizza tonight and I convinced my husband to go down with me. I cant believe , even now as the "fake food" is digesting in my belly that I really ate that crap. Oh the joys of being pregnant and having specific cravings.

Tired.

Its already 9am and Im suppper tired again. I thought.. maybe I should refrain from writing in my blog ...since the last week writings have all been downers. I guess the first trimester of pregnancy has never been easy for me....
This time even harder because Im tired but cant sleep because I have McCOy who is three and full of energy pulling at my sleeve...
I feel so sorry for her as I can barely keep up.


Praying that this passes soon.. keeping up with work has been tough as well... parcels may take a bit longer to arrive as Im moving in slow motion. thanks for understanding.

It could be worse ... I could be throwing up which I am not....

so excited I hurried from the gym to the closest grocery store ( not whole foods which is 45 min away:( to get some WASABI.
I have been totally craving it.. so i decided i was going to make myself a " hibachi" style rice bowl with all the sushi style fixings minus the raw fish...
Well ..i read the label on wasabi.... and yellow #5 blue #2... etc... I was so mad.... seething.
actually the emotion was more like despair... i wanted to cry.... hormones got the best of me.

So i couldn't have my wish.... for tonight. Such a bummer that the only good grocery store is 45 min away.. makes it tough for last minute pregnancy cravings.
O'well.... got McCoy to bed...Donnie is working late... and so tonight.... I am hoping to netflix and take a break.... and go to bed early.
