I had no idea that a pregnant woman needs to have 80 or more grams of protien a day... comprable to a weight lifter.
this has really blown my mind... and changed my whole diet... grrr. I am realizing that in order to get all the protein I need.. i need to eat some sort of protein in every meal.... not an easy task for someone who dosent eat much meat... or drink milk...
I have to be very purposeful... to get it.
Things I've been eating :
Cottage Cheese
Yogurt
Almonds
almond Butter
beans
protein bars
protein powder
cheese
Cottage Cheese has been a huge help.... as just one cup packs a lot of protein..
Why am I sharing this? well just the way new moms talk about baby poop and stuff... Im pregnant and this is my world right now... making sure I get all that I need for the baby.
ohhh... and bean burritos are a yummy way to get it... ive been eating lots of those... Amys burritos have 10g per burrito. not too shabby.

Don't forget tofu...great meat subsitute! Good, healthy protein makes all the difference in how you feel and how your baby developes. It also helps avoid many pregnancy complications :)

Keep on being healthy girl..but too much protein when your preggo is NOT so good for you..so be careful..
